We are always looking for ways to do things less expensively. Our little town has a great little fair, which like any fair is both fun and awfully expensive if you're not careful. Rides are $3 a person, so with three kids it's $9 for every five minute (or less) ride. So we go Thursday night because it doesn't cost to get into the fair. The downside is that we don't get to see any of the exhibits. Next year we might have to break down and go another day since Daniel will be school age and might want to enter something.
We let them go on three rides.
The Carousal. (Which Daniel loved because there is a carousal Lego set.)
The Jalopy Junction.
And some crazy Dragon ride, which Mercy loved and Daniel didn't.
Then some fair food... purple cotton candy.
I was ready to be done after a mad dash to the potty with Mercy ended in a wet puddle in front of the potty. We had to go back to the stroller and get the diaper bag which contained a spare set of clothes and return to the potty to clean up and change. The zing of the fair kind of left me as I carried my daughter, who had ruined her cute (but thankfully inexpensive) shoes.
