Project Life | Week Five

Sliding into the second month of Project Life. And if it weren't for this deep cough that shakes my whole body that has been hanging on all week, I'd be feeling pretty good, just for keeping up so far. Can't hardly wait to link up tomorrow and see what everybody else's weeks look like.

On to things way more fun...

Here they are, side by side. I do love the pop of green.

And up close and personal.

Struggling a little bit to keep things looking fresh. I know, I know, it's only week five, not week 25, but still!

I'm curious, what are you doing to keep from getting into a rut?

Feeling exhausted this week, so I've been focusing on the following verse:

"Be strong in the Lord, and in his mighty power."
     Ephesians 6:10

Cami

  1. Wonderful photos! This is my first year of PL and at only week 5 I haven't fallen into a rut...yet. When it happens? I'm counting on the inspiration from other PLers to give me new ideas :)

  2. Cami, it looks fresh to me! Lovely photos, they give a good feel of your week.

Maybe you could add a little journaling if you wanted (like a week in review - in dot points) but I really think it looks great.

    Keep going! :)

    1. I agree. This week I was really lousy about journaling throughout the week. Each week I've told myself I need to be more intentional about the journaling. THIS will be the week! Thanks for the motivation.

  4. I'm new to PL this year... but one thing I am trying to do is have my friends give me a challenge each week-some of them include photography challenges, journaling, including something about me from my past ect...That has been really helping keeping things fun for me. Since I used to scrap alot I am also trying to add a technique a week...sewing, using my circut ect...it is keeping it exciting. I love your pages...can't wait to see next week!

  7. Definitely I think I am trying to keep it fresh in one easy way, use different forms of picture taking and trying to document just not what I say but what the kiddos or hubby or friend or event is saying too...

I love your pages, the photos are great and evolving, Spring has sprung! I LOVE THAT, keep it simple ;) Be calm and Project Life On.

oh and I give myself challenges from what other people are doing around the Project Life links, ie. use a 6x12 page add, photog what I ate, use the word "BREATHE"...etc.

    Can't wait to come back!

  9. Your pages look great! I LOVE the pic of your daughter w/the Tootsie pops...so cute!

I'm still really loving this project & haven't felt any issues w/keeping things fresh (yet). This week I didn't have as many pictures b/c I dealt with a bout of vertigo, so I had a lot of extra tidbits to add.

Hopefully you get to feeling better and that will give you the boost you need!

    Blessing to you!

  10. love the bit of green too! once again, your pages look great! I believe thats the nice thing about scrapbooking...sometimes just the pics tell the story and other times, the journaling is the definitive touch! ;-)

  15. Love these pages as usual! The pop of green is great--I will have to "borrow" that idea next week when planning some red and pink things for our V-day party. I really like how you use bigger photos too, I need to do more of that!

  16. I agree with everyone else, it looks fresh to me! I think our weeks are so different, it kind of keeps itself new looking all on it's own. Your pages are a lot of fun. I really like how you tilted a photo, write on the pics, it's all great!

    1. Tootsie Pop Friday is something my kids' bus driver does. For the kids who have been good on the bus all week, she gives them a Tootsie Pop on Friday. My kids LOVE it! Our bus driver is amazing. Because I wait for the bus with my youngest, she always lets them take one extra for their little sister. We really have the world's best bus driver. Come to think about it, I should have put all of this on a journal card. Look at you, April, giving me all kinds of inspiration :)

And, yes, let's both try to find a way to include ourselves in the layouts more :)

  19. I've been doing PL for over 2 years now. When I need ideas or inspiration, I pick a theme (things along my jogging trail, my favorite things, taking pictures of objects starting with the letter A-Z, etc). Those are usually more creative pictures and more fun layouts to do.

  20. I think you do a great job taking a variety of pictures, you always do a nice job showing different angles etc. I wish I had some ideas for keeping your layouts from getting routine. I think last year I was in rut around this time, and to solve that I just quit. And I certainly hope that is not your answer. This time around has been much better because I've been linking up and other people's pages have given me so many ideas and inspiration...but seeing how you're already doing that...
