Project Life | Week Six

This week I finally focused on storytelling. It is so heavy with journaling that I'm thinking maybe I should have added an insert, to add some breathing room. I haven't done that yet. I'm trying to keep things contained in the double page spread to keep the cost of printing down.

They look a lot different because this is the first week that I haven't done the big 6x12 photo. There just wasn't one that I felt was worthy of the space when I needed the space for the journaling this week.

Here are the pages side-by-side:

Up close and personal...

At some point I might go back and embellish further. But I'm okay with the simplicity for now, especially because the text keeps think looking a bit busier than I'm used to in my layouts.

"A man's spirit sustains him in sickness,
but a crushed spirit who can bear?"
Proverbs 18:14

  1. I don't think the text makes it look too heavy at all - I think it still looks clean and bright. I love that scroll/swirly overlay down the right hand side.
PS Hope all are feeling better now.

  10. You did get a lot of journaling in but you won't regret it when you re-read those stories in the future. Your layout and photos look great.

  14. This is inspiring me to do some digital scrapbooking of my own. :) I have Creative Memories software and I love playing with it! (I mostly just use it for blog stuff, though. :)

Btw, I've been meaning to tell you--I really like your profile pic. :)
